When this Athens family wanted to create space for loved ones without leaving their neighborhood, they turned their backyard into a fully functional modern ADU.

Designed within a 1,000 square foot footprint, this cozy in law suite offers everything a full home needs including two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, and dedicated laundry space. The open layout, vaulted ceilings, and custom wood beams make the space feel bright and spacious while still being efficient.

Thoughtful details make this home built for the future, including an ADA inspired bathroom with a curb-less shower and wider doorways for accessibility. Completed in about six months, the project proves that with the right design, a smaller home can still deliver comfort, style, and independence for family members.

After 15 years in Atlanta, Amy and AJ were ready for something different. They wanted more land, more peace, and a home designed around the life they wanted to live.

This modern farmhouse in Bishop, GA was designed to bring people together. The open floor plan makes it easy to host friends and family. A full screened in porch overlooks their land and creates the perfect spot for quiet mornings. Dedicated home offices allow them to work remotely without sacrificing comfort.

From a custom floor plan inspired by their original sketch to thoughtful touches like a built in dog shower, every detail supports a slower and more intentional lifestyle. In about 10 months, their vision became a home built for connection, hosting, and recharging.

Sometimes the answer for a more functioning space is aggressive expansion. In this kitchen we tore out the back wall and outside patio area in order to completely transform the space.

It's the little details that can tie a space together. This kitchen had an ugly support beam down the middle. Knowing that we were going to use wooden shelves and range hood we decided to wrap the beam using the same wood and stain to match the other aspects of the kitchen.

Definitely one of the cooler things we've done in a kitchen!
