A front entry is one of the hardest things to get right.

Too grand and it feels stiff. Too plain and no one remembers it.

Here the stone wraps the arch and carries the door — hand-laid, piece by piece — so the whole home leans toward you the moment you pull in, like it had been waiting.

Too much and it goes heavy. Too little and it goes cold.

Here it climbs the gables just enough to feel like it grew there — hand-laid, piece by piece, settled into the pines like it was always meant to be.
