WTC — THE REBIRTH
Today marks the 25th anniversary of September 11.
I still remember hearing the news that day while driving to work. As a new immigrant to this country, the shock and sadness of that morning remain fresh in my mind to this day.
One year after the tragedy, I felt compelled to create something to commemorate the victims and express my faith in the resilience of the American people.
All I had was a pencil and my love for architecture, so I drew a vision of rebirth.
This was my response—a vision of the towers rising again, stronger, more hopeful and as magnificent as they could possibly be.
Twenty-five years later, we remember the victims, honor their families and stand with the enduring strength and resilience.

WTC — The Rebirth, received an Award of Excellence from the American Society of Architectural Illustrators at its Architecture in Perspective exhibition in Pasadena, California, in 2003, with legendary visual futurist Syd Mead serving on the jury.
