Say hello to Project Manager and Supervisor Diego Hernandez!

Diego originally joined Innovative Design•Build as a helper after a recommendation from a friend. Thanks to his incredible work ethic and sharp skills, he quickly worked his way up to Supervisor.

Out of all our core values, Diego connects most with Communication—he strongly believes it’s the foundation for everything else we do. His primary goal for every client? Always putting his best foot forward to ensure your project is completed with the highest possible quality.

Diego lives with his wife, Idalia, and their two daughters, Marianna and Mia. When he’s off the clock, you’ll find him spending quality time with his family or tackling DIY projects around his own home!

Designed for beauty, accessibility and aging-in-place, this long, narrow guest bathroom received a complete overhaul to better serve our clients for years to come.

Key renovation highlights include:
▫️ Replacing the old tub-shower combo with a spacious, accessible shower stall
▫️ Reconfiguring the layout by moving the toilet to make space for a proper vanity
▫️ Pairing classic tile wainscoting with basketweave floor tile
▫️ Incorporating attractive grab bars that seamlessly blend with the fixtures
▫️ Designing a balanced budget that mixed smart savings with targeted splurges

Design

In this aging-in-place bathroom remodel, we incorporated a non-slip floor, attractive grab bars, ample lighting and a comfort-height toilet. The guest bath had classic and timeless traditional style including a basketweave floor tile and a mahogany vanity with a furniture look.

Meet the Team Monday: Celebrating Megan Foster! 💼✨

We’re not sure what would happen to our office without the incredible skills of Megan, our Office & Marketing Manager!

Originally from Omaha, Nebraska, Megan brings a passion for organization and efficiency along with her creativity to Innovative Design•Build. Her diverse background spans TV media, project management and customer service management — a perfect fit for the many hats she wears while keeping our business running like clockwork.

Outside the office, Megan loves curling up with a good book, treasure hunting at local antique shops and soaking up Atlanta's vibrant outdoor art festivals. A devoted Nebraska Cornhuskers fan, she shares her life with her husband John, their two grown daughters and their two gentle giants — Great Pyrenees Crosby and Oliver. 🐶

First Impressions Start in the Foyer! 🚪✨

Keep the views (and the noise!) right where you want them with clever design solutions.

As part of this whole-house renovation, we freshened up the foyer with new French doors, custom millwork, and updated lighting. But one of the smartest features we added was an arched opening outfitted with a custom arched pocket door.

It’s the ideal solution for busy families or rooms with televisions:
▫️ When open: Enjoy an elegant, seamless architectural archway.
▫️ When closed: Instantly hide toys, quiet down movie night, or give kids their own space while hosting guests.

Meet the Team Monday: Celebrating Senior Project Manager & Draftsman, Raul Lopez!

Raul brought a rich background in maintenance, hospitality, and hands-on carpentry into the construction industry—skills that make him an exceptional leader for our projects today.

As Senior Project Manager, Raul believes deeply in doing what’s right, even if it requires extra work. It’s no surprise that he connects most with our core value of Growth, as he never misses an opportunity to learn something new and bring better solutions to our clients.

When he isn't managing job sites or drafting designs, Raul loves spending time at church, exploring the outdoors (hiking, biking, and gardening), and catching F1 Racing with his wife, Anca (whom you met last week!), and their dog. 🐕

Curb Appeal Alert! 🚨

We recently wrapped up a major front facade makeover for this beautiful home in Sandy Springs, and the transformation is incredible. Our goal was to bring in more natural light while giving the facade a completely refreshed, timeless look.

The new front porch features:
✨ A stunning barrel vault portico with a standing seam metal roof
✨ Classic round columns and updated accent lanterns
✨ Fresh architectural shingles and updated windows
✨ Gorgeous new front doors that completely flood the interior entryway with light

We love how this blend of classic architecture and modern updates completely revitalizes the home's first impression.
