The Dillon Buckhead is a 589,000 SF high-rise residential tower located in Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood. The development includes 144 residences, six penthouses, and expansive terraces overlooking the Atlanta skyline.

EM Structural provided the structural engineering design, including the deep foundation system, retaining structures, post-tensioned concrete framing, high-rise lateral modeling, and building information modeling (BIM). The structural system was engineered to support the demands of a luxury residential tower while maximizing efficiency, constructability, and long-term performance.

Construction is underway at 102 West Paces Ferry, also known as Elyse Buckhead, a luxury condominium development in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood.

To mark the start of construction, our Atlanta team hosted project partners Kolter, Integra Construction and RJTR for a kickoff gathering at our office. Bringing the team together provided an opportunity to recognize the coordination behind the project and prepare for the work ahead.

We look forward to continuing our collaboration as Elyse Buckhead takes shape.

Located in Charleston, South Carolina, 22 West Edge is an eight-story development featuring Class A office space and ground-level retail.

Designed to support research, laboratory, and innovation-focused tenants, the building required flexible interior spaces with long, open spans. We used composite steel framing and concrete slabs on metal deck to reduce the overall weight of the structure and help limit seismic forces.

Buckling-restrained braced frames within the building core resist Charleston’s significant wind and seismic loads, while a deep foundation system supports the structure below.

Recently named Top Multifamily Development in the Triangle Business Journal’s 2026 SPACE Awards, The Weld is a notable addition to Raleigh’s skyline and to the area’s continued growth.

Located adjacent to Dorothea Dix Park and overlooking downtown Raleigh, The Weld brings together residential, retail, structured parking, and amenity space in a large-scale mixed-use development.

EM Structural provided structural engineering services for two 20-story residential towers totaling more than 675 luxury apartment homes. Building III includes a 557K SF apartment tower above a six-level, cast-in-place concrete parking deck, while Building IV features a second 20-story tower over a 4.5-level parking structure with ground-floor retail and amenity space.

June gave Raleigh a lot to celebrate, and this was definitely one of the highlights.

Kris got to be there when the Canes brought the Stanley Cup home. Congratulations to the team on an incredible run.

Last month, Kris enjoyed catching a Canes game with Lindsey Kretchmen from Cline and Patrick Wade from Blue Heron.

It was even better getting to watch the Canes close out the season as Stanley Cup Champions!

The Raleigh office got in a little practice at PinPoint before Brian Scanlon and Zoe West represented EM Structural at the AIA Pickleball Tournament.

It was a fun way to connect with the local AEC community and spend time with our peers!
