Spring begins with possibility. More sunlight, more warmth, and that quiet sense that something beautiful can begin again. The first day of spring reminds us that outdoor spaces are more than just landscapes. They are places to gather, to reflect, to celebrate, and to feel at home. Here’s to fresh starts, thoughtful design, and gardens that bring beauty, meaning, and hope to everyday life. This is where I start my day. Not all landscape projects have to be big productions. This small patio is ideal for a morning coffee and sitting around a fire pit. So glad we were able to make this happen for a special client. This patio sits on a permeable, tree root bridging system. This keeps the area permeable and allows the existing roots to remain protected.

Phase one of this small city-sized backyard is completed. Stonework and structural plantings are completed. A drip irrigation system has been installed to keep this garden alive while the client travels the globe. A plethora of perennials will be added in a few weeks to finish this contemporary English-styled Garden. The tree-form Hydrangeas will be lovely this spring. Just imagine these beds spilling over with color and whimsy.

Due to a flat tire, our sod delivery was delayed until noon. So after lunch we got busy and by 3pm we had 1800 sq ft of sod installed. Having a great team and proper equipment makes all the difference.
