Tonight was the first time I've felt like painting in a good while, at least a month. There for a bit, it was daily, so to not want to do it for weeks on end was kind of bumming me out and trying to force it definitely didn't work. But... I'm fairly happy with the result tonight. Let's hope it dries okay. 🤞

The blue side was a second attempt. The first was really off-putting when I looked at it so I scraped it off and tried again. Not all are winners and some get painted over, but I'm optimistic about this one.

I am trying to get better with warm tones. I love cool tones and there for a while that was all I painted because that's what I like, but I'm trying to branch out and get familiar with the warm tones too. I generally just can't get them to work for some reason, and I chalked it up to just not liking them much. Trying to push through since they can be pretty too. We shall see....

Having a little fun finishing a few paintings today.

I started an actual theme for a series of paintings a few days ago and I'm so stoked with it so far! I'll post more later but now I've got to get back at it. The resin is a game changer and I love the way it makes the colors truly pop. 🤩

Gravity was against me on this one too, but I'm pretty stoked with how it turned out! Once I get it finished, I will post more closeups if the colors pop like I hope they will. 🤞 This has been such a great stress reliever for me lately. It's incredible being able to focus on something so relaxing for so long. Art is truly amazing and I am so grateful for finding this new passion. 💜

Well, here was one that I loved when I painted but was so disheartened to realize the area where I put it to dry was not flat... I think it may have been a happy accident though now that I see it upright and in natural light. The top part is where my eyes are immediately drawn. It reminds me of waves crashing on a beach in California... I may let this one stay after all. I had planned on painting over it, but I think it has enough redeeming qualities to stick around. 💜 Video posting in 3.....2.....1...... 😊
