In celebration of Independence Day, MasterCraft Plumbing will be closed on Friday, July 3rd, so our team can enjoy the holiday weekend with their families. We hope you have a safe and fun Fourth of July!

Before you fire up the grill or head out to the festivities, here are a few plumbing tips to help keep your holiday stress-free:

1: Don't pour grease down the drain. Let it cool and throw it away instead.

2: Watch what goes down the garbage disposal. Corn husks, watermelon rinds, bones, and fibrous vegetables can cause clogs.

3: Only flush toilet paper. Wipes (even "flushable" ones), paper towels, and hygiene products can quickly back up your plumbing.

4: Know where your main water shut-off is located. In case of an emergency, you'll be glad you do!

5:Heading out of town? Turn off your ice maker, washing machine supply valves, and consider shutting off your home's main water supply for extra peace of mind.
