Had the pleasure of walking through our Old River Road project with the family yesterday!
We walked through the virtual floor plan months ago, but this was their first opportunity to actually stand in the space and see everything coming to life.
One of my favorite parts of these walkthroughs is getting to discuss ideas and make decisions together. Yesterday, we decided to turn one of the bedrooms into an office/music studio, rework the primary bathroom to allow for a larger walk-in shower, and take advantage of the roofline to create a vaulted ceiling.
Earlier in my career, I used to dread changes once construction started. Over the years, I’ve learned that some of the best ideas come from walking through a space together, having open conversations, and exploring options. A few small changes now can make a huge difference in the finished home.
We’ve been working on this project for over a year and a half, from the initial conversations and design process to finally seeing it take shape. I’ve genuinely enjoyed every part of it.
There’s something special about working with clients who trust your judgment, appreciate the process, and aren’t afraid to collaborate. When you have that kind of relationship, it starts to feel a lot less like work.
Excited to see this one continue to come together!
