This beachfront deck in Ocean City was a fun one! We got the call from the engineer after it was determined that all of the original support posts were undersized, and much of the existing framing had seen better days.

What started as a repair quickly became a complete tear-down and rebuild. We replaced all of the sliding glass doors, installed a brand-new fiberglass deck, and completely rebuilt the bulkhead to give this property a fresh, solid foundation for years to come.

Finished off with TimberTech decking and VERSATEX Building Products soffit, this project is ready for many more years of beach days, sunsets, and enjoyment. 🏖️

What was once a bait and tackle shop at 640 Bay Ave is now the daily operations hub for Ken Shiles Builders — nestled right inside Bay Ave Home Design Studio . We took this raw, gutted space and transformed it into a fully functioning office where we run our projects, meet with clients, and collaborate directly with our design studio, all under one roof.
