🔥 Another project in the books! 🔥

Our crew wrapped up this 900 sq. ft. addition in Oakland, Michigan by noon today, just in time to kick off a well-earned Fourth of July weekend!

This home received a complete high-performance insulation package:
✅ Cathedral ceiling: R-49 (R-30 unfaced fiberglass topped with R-19 kraft-faced fiberglass)
✅ Exterior walls: 2” closed-cell spray foam (R-14) with R-13 unfaced fiberglass for a total of R-27
✅ Bonds: 3” closed-cell spray foam (R-21)
✅ Basement walls: R-11 vinyl-faced fiberglass

I also want to give a huge shoutout to our crew. They’ve been working through 100° heat all week, and their dedication, craftsmanship, and positive attitude never wavered. I couldn’t be more proud of what they accomplish day after day.

Now it’s time for everyone to enjoy a long Fourth of July weekend to recover, recharge, and spend time with their families.

Small job this morning in Imlay City — but every project gets the same attention to detail.

This 504 sq. ft. remodeled tiny home was insulated with 3” of closed-cell spray foam in the exterior walls, delivering approximately R-21 along with a complete air seal.

🔥 Attic Transformation in Progress 🔥

Today was all about the prep work that most people never see—but it’s what makes the final result perform.

We removed 20” of existing cellulose insulation from this log home attic to get it ready for a full transformation. The builder is converting the flat ceiling into a vaulted ceiling, which means everything up top has to be done right from the start.

This is where a lot of projects can go wrong. You don’t just “add insulation” when changing ceiling design—you have to remove, reset, and rebuild the system correctly.

Once this is framed out, we’ll come back and create a tight, efficient thermal envelope that:
✔️ Eliminates air leakage
✔️ Controls moisture
✔️ Maximizes comfort year-round

Most homeowners never see this part—but this is the difference between a house that looks good and one that actually performs.
