One of our recent remodel projects on Lake Huron involved interior and exterior renovations. We started with the exterior by removing outdated vinyl siding and upgrading to LP DiamondKote in Graphite. We installed Marvin Ultimate windows and wrapped the windows and doors in White DiamondKote LP. The exterior was further enhanced with Eldorado stone veneers in Cliffstone, Whitebark. The gables feature Certainteed Cedar Impressions in double 7" vinyl siding, Colonial White. We installed a new modern powder-coated aluminum handrail in White by Jam Systems. Additionally, all pillars were wrapped with Azek in White and the old deck was replaced with Slate Gray Azek from the Harvest collection.

This stunning Lake Huron residence perches on a bluff overlooking the serene blue waters. The Marvin Ultimate windows are adorned in stylish black, while the lakeside is enhanced by Phantom retractable screens, creating a flawless connection with the outdoors. At the heart of this captivating home is a magnificent 5x9 Pivot door, beautifully stained to complement the home's character. The exterior features LP DiamondKote siding in a bold Graphite shade. The roof showcases CertainTeed Landmark Pro in an elegant Georgetown Gray. Eldorado stonework adds a touch of sophistication throughout the design, weaving charm into every corner.

Check out this before and after project we recently completed.

We took down the three-season room at the back and constructed a covered porch. To enhance the aesthetics, we added a dormer to the house roof and a reverse gable to the garage roof, both standing seam in Black. Additionally, we replaced all the windows and doors with Anderson 100 series in the color Black.

We upgraded the old shingles to Certainteed Landmark Pro shingles in Moire Black for a bolder appearance.

The outdated siding was replaced with Certainteed Monogram siding in Colonial White to enhance the house's visual appeal. A door on the west side of the house was replaced with a fireplace insert and Black standing seam roof.

We eliminated the steps leading to the front door and constructed a level Azek deck in the color Boardwalk. To give the house a lift, we applied the same color, Boardwalk to the vertical siding. For more contrast, we added all new soffit, fascia and lighting fixtures in the color Black. To modernize the deck, we incorporated thick Azek wraps in the color White and installed a Jam Systems handrail featuring both colors Black and White.

We've been busy with this one!

This stunning custom post and beam barn measuring 5,880 square foot with an additional 3,200 square foot loft. The blueprints and lumber kit were sourced from Legacy Post & Beam in Nebraska. You can explore more at https://legacypostandbeam.com/barns/.

Each Legacy kit begins with a base model, where the roofline (or kit style) is the primary design choice made at the outset. From there, these kits can be transformed into a barn, living area, or venue, depending on the upgrades and accessories selected.

The second story deck will feature two 6x8 custom cedar storm doors. The barn includes ten Marvin Ultimate series windows and a 12x8 Ultimate sliding door that leads out to the second-story deck.

Take a look at this striking statement piece: a 5x9 foot white oak Pivot door.

The standard exterior doors are 2 1/4″ thick, featuring a double steel-reinforced core. The core is filled with 1″ foam insulation, providing a total R-value of 7.
White oak hardwood showcases a medium brown grain with an olive hue, while the sapwood varies from light cream to tan.
It has medium to high moisture movement, good density, and a medium to coarse texture. It was necessary for this water front home to incorporate white oak as it is more resistant to weathering compared to red oak.
