Never Forgotten: 20 years ago today, the world witnessed a horrific attack on the United States that killed 2,977 people and left more than 6,000 injured.

Words struggle to truly describe the suffering felt by those who lost their loved ones. We cannot fully understand the experiences of the first responders who not only had to witness it, but had to persevere through the aftermath.

That's why we will never forget the people who lost their lives, the people who lost their loved ones, and the first responders who had to endure it firsthand.

We don't remember the date because of the fear that struck the heart of America on that day. We remember the date because of the people who died, the friends and family members who can't forget, and those who sacrificed everything for their country.

They will never be forgotten.
