This past weekend, Local 1352 Valley Professional Firefighters, Valley Regional Fire Authority, friends, and family came together to celebrate the life of David Cook and honor a life dedicated to serving others.

For 35 years, Dave proudly served in the fire service. Throughout those years, he built friendships, shared countless calls and memories, and became part of a brotherhood that extends far beyond the firehouse. His impact reached well beyond the uniform, and the stories shared this weekend were a reminder of just how many lives he touched.

While we gathered with heavy hearts, we also gathered with gratitude—for the time we had with Dave, for the memories he left us, and for the example he set through a lifetime of service and dedication.

Dave, your watch is over. The alarm has sounded for the last time, but your legacy will live on in the people you served, the brothers and sisters you worked alongside, and the memories you left behind.

Rest easy, Brother.
We’ll take it from here. 🚒❤️

🐟 19 Koi Rescued! 🐟

Sometimes being a firefighter means more than fighting fires—and today, it meant becoming fish rescuers!

Members of Valley Professional Firefighters Local 1352, alongside our brothers and sisters from Moses Lake Firefighters, worked together to rescue 19 koi fish from a resident’s property.

It took teamwork, patience, and a little creativity, but all 19 koi were safely saved! 🙌🚒🐠

Another reminder that firefighters are here to help our communities in all kinds of ways. Proud to work alongside great firefighters who are always willing to lend a hand—or a net!

19 fish. One team. Mission accomplished. 💪🐟

🔥 Local 1352 on the Move! 🔥

Throughout the month of July, members of Valley Professional Firefighters Local 1352 have been deployed to multiple wildland fires across Washington State and Oregon.

These deployments are another example of our members answering the call wherever they’re needed—bringing their experience, training, and dedication to communities facing wildland fire.

🌲🔥 And importantly, these deployments do NOT rob resources from our local response area. Our members are deployed through established mutual-aid and wildland response systems, with staffing and coverage maintained to ensure our community continues to receive the emergency services it needs.

We’re proud of our members for stepping up, representing Local 1352, and helping our neighbors across the region.

One team. One mission. Always ready to serve. 🚒💪

While many were celebrating the 4th of July with family and friends, the members of Valley Professional Firefighters Local 1352 were hard at work keeping our communities safe.

From emergency medical calls and fires to fireworks-related incidents and everything in between, it was another busy holiday weekend for our crews. Even with the increased call volume, our members remained committed to answering every call with professionalism and dedication.

Thankfully, many of our firefighters were also able to catch a few moments with their own families and enjoy the fireworks after their shifts.

To everyone who celebrated responsibly—thank you. We hope you all had a safe and memorable Independence Day, and we're honored to serve this incredible community every day.
