Check out Canopy of Saratoga, the new flagship plant nursery and retail space owned by Mandy's Spring Nursery in Wilton, NY, just north of Saratoga Springs! 🌿

We started Schematic Design working from a site plan concept created by SD Atelier Architecture L.L.C.. We then worked closely with the owners through Design Development and Construction Documentation to help bring their vision for this beautiful new space to life!

We hope you take a visit and love the space as much as we do!

Fall is still a great time to hit the beach and explore our NYS Parks!🍂

At Southwick Beach State Park, the new Beach Connector Trail completed this summer improves access between the park’s camping areas and lake shoreline with an accessible, multi-use trail system.

The trail includes more than a quarter mile of continuously curving boardwalk winding through environmentally sensitive wetlands, providing a direct, low-impact connection between the campground and the beach.

Supported on ground screw foundations to minimize environmental disturbance, the timber-framed boardwalk features an overlook, gathering spaces, and interpretive signage that enhance the visitor experience and provide opportunities for environmental education.

Construction is really coming along at this new-build Adirondack Custom Home. Hats off to for all their hard work!🏡

We joined Architectural Project Designer Hannah Wambach, for a look at the concept behind this Elevated Alpine home, inspired by modern western lodges and mountain chalets.

During the Schematic Design and Design Development phases, we work closely with homeowners to discuss inspiration, layout, functionality, flow, and all the little details that help support their lifestyle.

There’s a lot happening in downtown Albany as efforts continue to revitalize the Liberty Park area, and we’re glad to be part of that work in collaboration with Capitalize Albany.

Associate Principal Pete Veale, AIA, and intern Paige Doherty recently visited the site to see progress firsthand.

Our team is working on the stabilization of E-Comm Square, helping address the immediate needs of the existing building while keeping an eye toward what could come next. The goal is to stabilize the structure and preserve the possibility of future adaptive reuse.

We’re excited to see where this work leads and to be part of the continued investment in downtown Albany.

We joined the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce last week for a discussion with academic leaders from six colleges and universities across the Capital Region. 🏫

The conversation focused on how higher education is adapting to meet the evolving needs of students, employers, and the economy, and how future collaboration between industry and higher ed can help support those goals.

It was very informative for our team, and we appreciate the opportunity to hear different perspectives on the future of education!

Barry Halperin, R.A., and Jace Brown, R.A., attended the NYSAFAH Annual Upstate New York Affordable Housing Conference in Albany, where housing professionals from across New York gathered to discuss the future of affordable housing.

With growing demand and evolving challenges, the conference highlighted innovative approaches to creating and preserving affordable housing. Beardsley is proud to be part of several current affordable housing projects that are helping to provide accessible communities throughout New York State. 🏘️
