Michigan weather is not gentle on outdoor concrete.

Summer brings intense UV exposure that fades and weakens unprotected surfaces. Spring and fall bring the kind of moisture that works its way into every crack and makes it worse. And winter brings freeze-thaw cycles that expand that moisture and split concrete from the inside out.

A standard coating can't keep up with that. Polyurea can.

Peeling happens when the coating doesn't properly bond to the concrete beneath it. That usually comes down to one thing: inadequate surface preparation. If the concrete isn't ground down and profiled correctly before the coating goes on, it's only a matter of time before it starts to lift.

Polyurea bonds at the material level when installed correctly — which means it doesn't peel, doesn't flake, and doesn't need to be redone after a Michigan winter. It flexes with the concrete instead of fighting it, which is why it holds up where rigid coatings fail.
