Most of you have the power on your alarm systems and probably arming and disarming the system in use. Please test your system to ensure that it is working properly. To do this simply call the number for the ETC Monitoring Company and request to place your system on test. Once the Operator has placed it on test. Arm your system, and then after the exit delay time has expired, trip the various sensors to alarm the system. Permit the alarm to sound for 1-2 minutes before disarming the system. Clear the alarms on your console. Then call the Operator at ETC Monitoring to inquire what signals were received from your system. Simple as that. Give me a call if there is any questions. As we have expected, Verizon has began their "sunset" of the older 3G/4G Cell Tower equipment. This means that those of you with Honeywell Cell Communicators that utilize this network will need to update their current cell communicator to the newest Honeywell LTE communicator. Look for a "cryptic" message on your keypad display indicating Long Range Radio Trouble 0005. If you are seeing this give me a call and we will discuss the options available.

Okay, Amazon has their “Blink” cameras on sale for the holidays. Consider at least one Orr more around your house to “Verify” alarms. when the service calls with news of an alarm, pull up your camera to see what’s going on! Tell the monitor service operator that you have video in the house and you can verify the cause of the alarm!

Just a friendly reminder. Your Verizon 3G/4G cell communicator will lose communication when they shut down their 3G/4G cell networks the end of December. To prevent the loss of your monitoring service we must upgrade your communicator prior to this date. Please call, text, or email me to discuss and schedule your upgrades.

Similar to what AT&T did last year, Verizon has advised Honeywell that they plan to discontinue 3G/4G cellular service as of Dec 31, 2022. Most of you today communicate using a Cellular Communicator to send alarm / alert signals to the monitoring service. Also you may also use the Honeywell Total Connect App. This also uses the cell communicator to send/receive info from your alarm from you personal cell phones.
