A customer of ours shared his early 1960's Platt Electric team baseball picture with us today, along with the kind words, "It was a memorable time in my life and if I'm not mistaken we were pretty good...I'm sure there are hundreds of people who have lengthy years of affiliation with Platt Electric. I just thought I would share mine..." Thank you for sharing, Jerry!! We love receiving pictures, and hearing stories-it reminds us of how long this company has served the community, and sponsored so many sports teams in Aurora, and in surrounding towns! If you have pictures to share, please send them-we would love to create a space in the office highlighting our teams!

The Local 30 Painter's Council, in collaboration with VALEES, is hosting a Trades Apprenticeship Expo on April 10, 2025!

Is your student interested in a career in the trades? This is their chance to explore opportunities, learn about the application process, and connect with professionals in the field!

What to Expect:
- 30-minute info session
- 1 hour to visit trade booths & ask questions
- Meet representatives from the Electrical Union, Carpenter’s Union, Boilermakers, Auto Mechanics Local, Plumbers Union & more!

Encourage your student to see their counselor for a permission slip. Don’t miss out on this hands-on career event!

We want to share the recent passing of our family matriarch-Joan Platt. She worked as a bookkeeper for Platt Electric, Inc., many years ago. She was a proud Mother, Grandmother, & Great-Grandmother to so many. She was quite a lady-and as this new generation continues to operate Platt Electric-we hope to always uphold the same values, integrity, and continue the legacy that Jack, Al, Ruthie, and Joan worked so hard on, as they operated the family business. Rest in Peace, Grandma! 💓
