We’d like to introduce you to a versatile plant that we really love: sedges! These low-maintenance plants love shade and are very drought tolerant. Consequently, they make a great groundcover or lawn alternative. Featured here is Berkeley Sedge, although there are many native varieties to choose from! We’re pretty proud of that stonework too!

Come see our garden on tour! "This garden totally transformed the original landscape into a sustainable urban environment."

Gardens on Tour 2011 will be on Saturday, May 7, during Mother's Day weekend. The tour, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. rain or shine, will feature exclusive looks at five private gardens as well as the Wildflower Center.
