Another crown tile roofing project out in Marble Falls, Texas 🙏

This project involved storm-related roof damage and ultimately moved forward through the insurance process after additional inspections and documentation were completed.

During this roof inspection, I found an old dry-rotted vent boot that had deteriorated over time and was allowing water into the home.

While inspecting the property, I also performed an insurance-style test square and found multiple hail hits consistent with storm damage. Due to the condition of the roof and hail impacts found during the inspection process, the roof was approved and paid for by insurance.

A lot of homeowners don’t realize older roof components like vent boots can fail over time, especially after severe Texas storms.

Strong winds blew shingles off this roof and exposed the home to potential water damage. I used cap nails, synthetic underlayment, and a roofing hatchet to properly secure and seal the area until permanent repairs can be made.

Homeowner reported an active roof leak after shingles blew off during recent storms, so I stopped by to install a temporary emergency tarp repair to help prevent further water intrusion until permanent repairs can be made.

In this video, I show part of the emergency roof repair process using synthetic felt to divert water and temporarily protect the home from additional damage.

This is a real roof inspection showing what the insurance adjuster marked during the adjuster meeting after severe Texas hail storms.

The roof showed 8+ hail hits per test square on multiple slopes, with soft metals also showing clear hail and splash damage. Because of the severity of the damage, the roof was approved by insurance for replacement.
