Job Title: Small Tool Mechanic Effective Date: 09/21/2021
Reports to: Yard Manager
Qualifications:
Must have reliable transportation
Any training or experience with small tool repair is highly preferred
Must be able to present two identification documents upon hire to establish identity and work authorization (i.e., DL/ID card and social security card)
Duties:
Small engine repair (to include: 2 & 4 cycle engines, generators, quickie saw, walk behind saws, trowel machines, small tools, skill saws, drills, vi*****rs, etc.)
Document all work performed on the daily basis
Submit accurate paperwork
Communicate any visible damage to company vehicles and equipment to Yard Manager immediately
Operate a forklift to load and unload
Ability to load and unload trucks and freight
Receive shipments
Assist employees as they come to the yard
Maintain the yard and warehouse neat, clean and organized
Prepare and pack weekly orders
Prepare future orders
Assists delivering trucks to and from the shop
Performing or assisting with maintenance and repairs
Performs other duties and/or tasks as instructed or assigned
Additional Duties (per Yard Technician Classification):
Repair small tools
Install parts for the truck (E.g. GPS, transfer tanks, pumps, tool boxes, side steps, flat beds, seat covers)
Assist the field job sites with minor truck and equipment issues (E.g. change tires and replace battery)
Repair Trailers
Weld components
Performs repair work and inspections on equipment
Conducts maintenance on machinery and equipment
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and complete duties under tight deadlines.
Excellent communications skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Must be able to follow directions and prioritize.
Must be organized and able to work with minimal supervision.

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 lbs and more than 60 lbs with assistance. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, carry, push, pull, grasp, squeeze, climb, and be able to walk incline/decline and uneven working surface in a safe matter. Must be able to hear and see clearly with personal aids if necessary.
