The US Hispanic Contractors Association laid down a concrete foundation for international relations between Austin Mayor Kirk Watson and Saltillo Mayor Javier Diaz, as well as Governor of Coahuila Manolo Jimenez Salinas. Austin’s Mayor traveled to Saltillo with USHCA leaders Chairman Frank Fuentes and Board Member Rudy Muniz to strengthen the ties between Saltillo and Austin through business and cultural exchange. The visit included private tours of local vineyards including Los Cedros, Don Leo, and Parvada filled with rich history creating an atmosphere for organic informal discussions, public speeches from both Mayors, a visit to the Governors mansion, and plenty of Mexican cuisine. It was a moment of unity that set the groundwork for a bright future for both cities.
