We had a great start to the week prepping and seeding this beautiful new build for Bigelow Lennon Construction.

We got the soil prepped with the Harley rake to prep a perfect seedbed, followed up by hydroseeding for fast, full coverage.

🍂 Fall Seeding 2026 🌱

Fall is hands down one of the best times to establish a thick, healthy lawn! Cooler temperatures and warm soil create the perfect environment for root development with less w**d competition and lower water evaporation.

Benefits of Fall Seeding:
💧Stronger Root Growth: Warm soil allows roots to establish deep before winter hits.
💧Fewer Weeds: Crabgrass and other aggressive summer w**ds fade out, letting new grass thrive.
💧Optimal Moisture: Fall weather helps keep soil moist with less frequent watering.

What about Dormant Seeding?
If temperatures drop before you can get seed down, dormant seeding takes place late in the fall or early winter (typically late October through November) once the ground is cold enough that seeds won't germinate until spring. We've been busy in Rochester, MN!

The last couple of days were spent installing approximately 1,450 linear feet (LF) of bio rolls for perimeter protection on a road construction project.

Keeping soil in place, protecting runoff, and getting the job done right.

Today marks 25 years since the events of September 11, 2001. At 507 HYDRO, we pause to honor the innocent lives lost, the heroes who answered the call without hesitation, and the unbroken strength of our nation.

We are deeply grateful for the brave first responders, service members, and everyday citizens who showed us the true meaning of unity and sacrifice.
