Check your trees and either maintenance or remove your tree stakes! We post a case like this every year because we see it all the time.
It’s easy to forget about your trees being staked, and In most cases, the way they are staked is unnecessary and doing more harm to the trees than good.
On a side of the house that has frequent heavy winds, a stake and a loose cord of arbor-tie is understandable. This should hold the tree up in the event of super heavy winds only, and nothing more than that. Staking the tree in a absolute stationary position is bad for the tree roots as they will not work to support the tree. This is why lots of trees that have been staked in the ground for a few years are still relatively loose in the soil. Not to mention what can happen to the trees as pictured above. Our tree health care program is mostly reserved for trees over 15 years of age, but if you need help with any of your trees or just a one-time check on them, don’t hesitate to reach out to us @ www.VerdeLawnAndLandscape.com
