ADLA Studio | Ecological Design-Build Landscape Architecture | Austin, Texas

ADLA Studio is an Austin-based design-build landscape architecture firm specializing in residential landscapes, private estates, and select commercial environments. We merge horticultural knowledge, technical building expertise, and artistic sensibility to create site-specific gardens and landscapes from concept through construction. We regard the built environment as the ultimate medium through which ecology, functionality, and aesthetics culminate in artistic expression. Through our passion for nature, art, and architecture, we seek to balance our clients’ individual lifestyles with the nature of their site. From initial design through installation, we craft outdoor spaces that foster a deeper connection to the outside world.

Barton Creek Hillside. Landscape design and build by ADLA Studio. Landscape architecture in Austin & the Texas Hill Country.

A limestone terrace and fire pit look out toward the Hill Country. Bunch grasses and Pride of Barbados catch the evening light. A flagstone path and small footbridge cross the arroyo down to the meadow.

Our project in Driftwood is in full bloom. Standing cypress, Mexican blanket, black-eyed Susan, and bee balm support local pollinators.

An Agave ferox in its final act.

Monocarpic, it spends years building toward a single bloom—sending up a towering stalk fueled by everything it’s stored.

If unpollinated, it creates bulbils—small plantlets that fall and root in place.

You might spy one on a neighborhood walk around Austin.
