Before/after pics pertaining to our last post about this job. The last installer installed dormer sidewall flashing on top of the Hardie Board siding instead of behind it, panels were cut mid length, we changed the pitches of the flat roofs to accommodate permanent metal roofing instead of 15 year flat roofing, flashing around leaking skylights was done correctly this time and NO SCREWS THROUGH THE METAL PANELS! There were other errors but we'll leave it at that. Think more about the quality of craftsmanship and materials used than looking for the cheapest estimate. It'll pay off long term, we promise!

This beautiful KasselWood Slate Gray roof was damaged during a spring storm when a tree fell on the back of the garage and back of the house roofs but now it's as good as new! Thanks to Kassel & Irons for providing matching materials and for the DMR team for another job well done!

While the original metal roof on the wrap around porch was storm damaged which necessitated the need to replace it, the quality of the paint and panel construction, not to mention the gauge of the metal, was substandard. Significant fading and chalking were present on the original roof pictured below that was only 10 years old! The replacement roof is coated with Kynar paint that carries a warranty for 40 years against chalking and fading and the new roof is a much thicker 24 gauge vs. the original roof that was only 28 gauge. This homeowner will never have to worry about the metal portions of their roof again! Hopefully we'll be called back to replace the asphalt portions of the roof when it fails in another 5 - 10 years.

Our new friends in Wexford, PA chose Distinctive Metal Roofing to install a beautiful Mansard Brown Standing Seam roof to replace their 18 year old algae streaked, wind damaged asphalt roof. There's nothing new about an asphalt roof lasting less than 20 years but their new metal roof will last in excess of 50 years. Metal roofing is the smart decision for long term protection every time!

For nearly 16 years, our all all Amish team has impressed every step of the way. Their unlimited skills, their tenacity and their attention to detail while completing every roof like it was their own never fails to overwhelm our clients, plus they're incredibly good guys all the way around.
