Garage doors are equipped with photo eye sensors near the bottom of the track that detect objects or people in the door’s path. If something crosses the sensors while the door is closing, the auto-reverse safety feature should stop the door and reverse it. Once a year, check that the sensors are clean and free of dust or debris, and test that auto-reverse is functioning properly.
