Another one is up! Over the summer we raised a 24’ x 36’ barn in Bethel, Maine, perfectly complementing the new high-performance home. This barn will serve as a functional space for vehicles and a woodworking shop.

Our talented team just finished constructing this awesome 28' x 40' timber frame home, complete with a 10' x 18' entry bump out and two shed dormers on the upper level. The sanded rough sawn pine timbers add a touch of rustic charm to this modern gem. In addition to the timber frame, our team framed the floor system, and installed roof sheathing, wall and roof SIPs, and overhang framing.

We loved building this 28’ x 42’ shed roof timber frame with a 12’ x 34’ covered porch. It’s made with whitewashed sanded rough sawn pine timbers and located in the heart of Carrabassett Valley. How about that sweet Sugarloaf view?!

This project reminded us of how grateful we are to live in a beautiful region of Maine, doing meaningful work for our awesome clients.

Nothing says quite like this mountain ski house at Sunday River. The house features a 19’ x 36’ timber framed great room, 7 bedrooms, theater, wood stove, huge hot tub and panoramic mountain views. We’re happy with this one! The 30’ x 30’ timber frame packs a lot into a small footprint. The porches add ample visual appeal and are the ideal spot to enjoy spectacular view of Rangeley Lake. We are delighted to have joined forces with Barrett Made for the initial architectural design.

Hello! It’s been a minute. We may have taken the past year off social media but we’ve been raising timber frames and growing our team. We’re excited to be doing what we love and will be sharing some recent projects to catch you up. We are so proud of what this team has accomplished. Here’s a barn with a wrap around porch project we recently completed in Bethel. This eastern white pine timber frame barn is 40’ x 50’ and has 142’ of wrap around porches!

Maine Mountain Timber Frames is looking for an experienced carpenter to join our crew. We build timber frames for homes and barns, along with high performance enclosure systems. Our focus is on craft, quality, and efficiency. The timber frame and woodworking shop is located in Avon, Maine with projects located throughout the state. This is a site based position, with some shop work also involved.

Typical work includes- timber frame raisings, roof and wall sheathing, SIP installation, roof trim, window installation, floor system framing, occasional finish work. Some statewide travel is involved.

The ideal coworker enjoys working hard, takes pride in their work, and has a broad range of residential construction skills.

The crew recently traveled to Patten, Maine to raise this 26x40 timber frame barn. They returned home to a world that had turned upside down. While there are many unknowns in the current situation, one thing's for sure, this barn is an excellent spot for social distancing in northern Maine.

We raised this 22x32 pavilion just in time for a college graduation celebration this spring. It's now a perfect spot to watch the sunset over the ocean, and in the winter it will become boat storage. Beautiful and functional!
