We closed on our second employee-housing unit: a condo in Carbondale! It's walking distance to our Carbondale office as well as to downtown. We are renting it below market rate to one of our employees. The lack of affordable employee housing is a major challenge to hiring and retaining staff in our mountain communities, so it feels good to make some progress!

9NEWS (KUSA) visited us at the Lettuce Patch Early Learning Center, which is now enrolling and planning to open this fall!

The Lettuce Patch Early Learning Center will add space for about 165 kids, addressing a major shortage in local child care.

Thanks to Habitat Vail Valley, we were able to donate 10 pallets of concrete roof tiles from an exterior remodel project to be reused in our local area.

Eagle County Government flipped the switch yesterday on their new Geothermal cooling & heating system that uses the constant underground temperature off 55 degrees to transfer heat into buildings in winter and out of buildings in summer. The system will produce a 50% reduction in greenhouse gases by 2030. We are very proud to be part of this project, and look forward to seeing more geothermal energy in our area in the future.

RA Nelson diverted 140,000 pounds of construction & demolition waste away from the local landfill in 2025, the equivalent of 23 pickup trucks. We are on track to double that number in 2026. We've been working with local partners like Trinity Recycling and Roll Off and Walking Mountains to educate our staff and improve our sustainability practices on the job site.

We've officially broken ground on the 5,650-square-foot childcare center at the historic Little Red Schoolhouse in Snowmass Village! Building in partnership with Woody Creek Kids, Town of Snowmass Village, Land+Shelter and Ford Architects.

We have five Summer Interns joining us this season. Each June we throw a Summer Kickoff party to get the team together and welcome new staff and, this year, a new baby! Plus a Top Gun volleyball moment 🏐 🌄
