Level I Drought Response announced today.

Contact us to learn about how you can implement a more drought resistant landscape. The photo collage from our portfolio (design and photo credit Fern Cook) here shows a properly designed and installed landscape that thrives on a steep hill which naturally has low water resources.

Under Drought Response Level 1, outdoor irrigation for purposes such as growing, or maintaining ground cover, trees, shrubs, or other plants is permitted daily, but only during the following hours:

Allowed: 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Prohibited: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (to minimize water loss through evaporation).

During installation and for 30 days after installation is complete, newly planted lawns, turf, ground cover, flowers, shrubs, trees and ​other plants can be watered at any time of day.

There are several exempt items, including food gardens, irrigation of plants for sale, water from private wells, and irrigation ponds.
