Just potted 16 rosemary plants in trade gallon pots. They are labelled KJ's Rosemary. If you have ever been to the KJ's IGA in Aynor, then you know how gorgeous their rosemary plant is in the parking lot. No care, no water, full sun and the prettiest rosemary I have ever seen.
We also have newly potted Greek and Common Mullein. It will grow low this first year and send up flower stalks next year. We have some blooming in the garden now.
In the garden I just planted 15 California wonder bell pepper where the garden peas were.
Silver Queen sweet corn is tasseling. We may not like the heat but the garden sure does.
Starting to pick yellow squash, cucumber and zucchini. Okra are starting to flower so it won't be long now until I get a good mess of okra. Who in the world ever called a bucket of anything a mess? But I love the old language. I think a lot of it will be gone with my generation.
May not know where it came from, but I know what a mess of something looks like. Enough to feed the family.
