We truly appreciate all the business and support you all haw given us this season. Yes, we hae lots of Green Chile and we’ll get it harvested and take care of all the folks on our Chile list. Please call Monday or leave a voicemail with your phone number and preferred heat range of the Chile you want if you want us to add you to our Chile list. It’s Friday! It’s Harvest Day! It’s prep day for the Saturday Farmington Growers’ Market at the Farmington Museum parking lot at Gateway park! Here’s our pick list….📢Folks we have some beautiful produce for Saturday morning. We set up at the East End of the market under our
3 green canopies and our Elder’s Banner. Come get your fresh roasted chile fix for the week, and our amazing flavor filled Cantaloupe and Honeydew Melons, Hot Jalapenos, Yellow Hot Peppers, Bell Peppers, Broccoli, Eggplant, Spaghetti squash, Butternut, Acorn squash, pie pumpkins and Jacko’lantern pumpkins, and well everything on this list. It’s a great time to use your Senior WIC, WIC, EBT Double up market money and stock up on great fresh, truly locally grown harvested by us 2 old Farmers who love feeding people with the fruits of our Labor. 8am to 12noon are the market hours. Come see us….👩‍🌾👨‍🌾

Ditch rotation schedule update posted on behalf of the New Mexico Office of the State Engineer & Interstate Stream Commission:

ANIMAS RIVER ROTATION UPDATE – THIRD ROTATION BEGINS AUGUST 31:

Flows on the Animas River remain below the rotation threshold, with the Animas River near Cedar Hill currently flowing at approximately 117 cfs. At these flows, ditches are experiencing difficulty diverting the available water.

Although precipitation is forecast over the weekend between Silverton and Farmington, current forecasts do not indicate that river flows will increase sufficiently – or remain elevated long enough – to delay the third rotation. OSE will reevaluate river conditions and forecasts on Monday.

Unless otherwise notified by OSE, the third rotation will begin at 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 31. At that time:

• Group 4 may resume diverting.
• Group 1 should cease diverting and begin its scheduled three-day OFF period.

The updated rotation schedule is attached. Once the third rotation begins, participants should expect to complete the full rotation cycle unless river conditions improve sufficiently for OSE to pause or discontinue the rotation. OSE will continue monitoring river conditions and notify participants promptly of any change.

All other operating conditions outlined in the July 8 rotation notice remain in effect. We appreciate everyone’s continued participation and cooperation.

Pick PICK Pick!!we are bringing more green chile this week for our small batches but also Bushels that we’ll be beginning to work thru our list. Another bushel of Fresh picked Jalapenos, Yellow Hots, Sweet Bell Peppers and mini bell peppers, Brocolli, Okra, Kale, Eggplant, more of our Summer Squash, Zucchini, Golden Zucchini, Calabacita and Patty Pan Squash(keep in mind the numbers of crates are slimming a bit as the nights have cooled a little. We have an 📣 Announcement to make….as expected after last weeks huge melon harvest the numbers are falling fast. Only 6 crates of cantaloupe and 7 crates of Honeydew melons. Don’t miss out on melons this week. More lovely crisp Burpless Cucumbers and Lemon Cucumbers, and we have Butternut Squash, Kabocha Squash, Spaghetti Squash and Acorn and Autumn Frost winter squash. Come see us at the Farmington Growers’ Market Saturday morning from 8am-12noon we accept WIC, EBT Tokens, Cash, Debit and Credit Cards. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow morning.
Also we’ve been super Blessed to have David’s Brother and Nephew visiting from Virginia this week. They’ve been a ton of help harvesting these heavy crops.

Newsflash!!! We have over 35 crates of cantaloupe!! This crazy heat is causing these things to ripen crazy fast too! Sooooo, be sure and load up this week. They smell sooooo good and taste amazing too. 😋😁

We are actively harvesting for the Saturdays Farmington Growers’ Market. Lots more photos to come…but we will be bringing our Chile roaster to the market. At this time we are only planning on offering our smaller quantity bags of Roasted Green Chile but who knows, maybe we’ll squeeze in time to harvest more than we currently expect. We have 30 bags of Brocolli heads and 25 bags of Okra! It’s Fresh Produce season and the best place to snag your truly locally Grown Fresh Produce is at the Farmington Growers’ Market on Saturday morning from 8am-12noon

Latest on ditch rotations from the New Mexico Office of the State Engineer & Interstate Stream Commission:

ANIMAS RIVER ROTATION UPDATE – SECOND ROTATION BEGINS AUGUST 19

Recent precipitation in the mountains and high country has not produced enough sustained runoff to pause the Animas River shortage-sharing rotation. The Animas River near Cedar Hill is currently flowing at approximately 148 cfs, and flows at upstream gages between Cedar Hill and Silverton are declining.

Accordingly, the second rotation will begin at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 19. At that time:

• Group 4 may resume diverting.
• Group 1 should cease diverting and begin its scheduled three-day OFF period.

Once the second rotation begins, participants should expect to complete the full rotation cycle unless river conditions improve sufficiently for the Office of the State Engineer to pause or discontinue the rotation. OSE will continue monitoring river conditions and notify participants promptly of any change.

Once again we’re having to readjust, we are thankful for the business, we just can’t do enough if Pam is sitting Roadside. So we will not be opening Roadside on Monday. We have too much harvesting to get done for this weeks orders. We’ll let you know Wednesday if we’ll be able to be roadside on Thursday. Thank you for your patience. 🤗👒🧤🧑🏻‍🌾👩‍🌾

So so much! We’ve been harvesting all day and we’re still prepping for the market but here’s the low down. We have our largest load of our Amazing cantaloupe harvested of the season(18 of our crates) and more beautiful and colorful Green and Golden Zuchini, Calabacita and Mexican Gray Squash, Yellow Squash and some fun white Scalloped squash also known as Patty Pan Squash, but don’t delay, we only have 13 crates of all the varieties of summer squash for the market. The largest harvest of Cucumbers for us this year, 3 crates…woohoo! And we have our first harvest of Brocolli for the season, yes we have 19 heads! YAY! We have some enormous Egg Plant this week, Lots of our Yellow Hots and some Hot Jalapenos, Lots of Fresh Okra(24 bags to be exact), and some colorful mini bell peppers as well as our regular size Bell peppers. Come see us at the Farmington Museum right across from the Dunkin Donuts building. The Farmington Growers’ Market opens at 8 am and closes at 12 noon. It’s Harvest time! 👒🧤🥒🫑🥬🍈🍆🥦🌶️

At 910 NM Highway 516 in Flora Vista we accept Senior WIC, WIC app and card as well as Debit, Credit and cash at the Farmstand.

We will be open Roadside today, Thursday, We have some of wonderful sweet cantaloupe today, Fresh Okra, Yellow Squash, Zucchini, Calabacita and a couple of White Patty Pan squash, and Mexican Gray squash, **sold out of Fresh Strawberries**, a nice harvest of our Burpless Cucumbers, and A few Yellow Hots….plus our Xtra Hot Frozen Roasted Green Chile.

We harvested all this Fresh Produce this morning… come see us, we’ll open between 10:30 and 10:45am and be open til 5 pm today.
**Dont forget we will be open today, Thursday, but closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at this location. We will however be at the Farmington Growers’ Market on Saturday from 8am-12noon**
