The correct guess was 60! I have made just over 60 cases of ALL 👏 THE 👏 THINGS this summer.
60 cases is 720 jars of:
🫐 starting seeds, growing a garden, weeding, watering, feeding and talking to my plants
🥒picking & harvesting, foraging or sourcing
🍅prepping, washing, cutting, peeling, dicing, slicing
🍎creating recipes, new flavor combinations
🫜using tried, true and borrowed recipes
🌽brining, boiling, fermenting, pickling
🧅sterilizing and canning
🫛cooling, labeling, boxing, carrying and selling
🍽🍴🥄🔪washing ALL the dishes🤣

And through every moment it took, it has brought me PURE joy. I live for the smiles my jars have brought others, the returning customers that have turned into friends and a simple sense of accomplishment.

Canning season is not over yet, the garden is still producing and let's not pretend I don't have gallon size bags of fruit and veggies put up in the freezer. Those will have to wait until I get a 'round tuit. 😉

It's 7am and I am enjoying coffee outside at our daughter's house where we stayed last night. They neighbor Farmington Greenhouse and it is taking all I have not to go peek inside & check out their set up!🤣
I can hear the conversation with the police already. "No sir, I am not breaking and entering, I am merely obsessed with gardens, but then I started pulling weeds, watering, organizing, pruning and now I live here."

Not a garden or hobby post but I will not be at Babbitt Farmers Market this evening as we are headed to cities to celebrate the life of my MIL Janet.
Even though it's not the under the best circumstances, I am looking forward to loving up all 8 of my husbands brothers and sister, all my nieces & nephews, my parents, our eldest daughter, her husband and my 2 beautiful granddaughters.

Today I NEEDED garden therapy, bare feet, quiet, to think or not, to process in my own way.
Yesterday, my mother in law gained her wings and met up my father in law in heaven.
They were urban gardeners, instead of landscaping around their home they grew vegetables, raised monarchs and had a beehive. Their cherry trees were hands down the most prolific producers. In a Tom Sawyer kind of way, she taught me how to use the cherry pitting machine. I will miss her, her amazingly crocheted and thoughtful gifts. I am comforted in the fact she is not in pain and that she is healthy and whole in heaven.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but grow a garden, the therapeutic effects alone are worth it.
