🍂 Fall for Fernie: A Mountain Town Worth Exploring
(Hosted experience: Lodging, food, and beverages were generously provided).
Golden leaves, crisp mountain air, and spectacular scenery welcomed us to Fernie, British Columbia. Nestled in the Canadian Rockies, this charming town may be famous for its powder skiing, but it's just as magical in the fall!
We checked into the cozy Park Place Lodge, perfectly situated for exploring downtown, and kicked off our visit with burgers and local brews at the Pub Bar & Grill.
The next morning, we wandered the scenic Fernie Valley Pathway along the Elk River before exploring the town's historic streets, independent shops, and vibrant arts scene.
A stop at was a must (those sandwiches!), followed by two very different adventures: I explored Fernie's historic architecture while Michael biked and hiked to see a giant, 165-million-year-old ammonite fossil!
We ended our day with a delicious dinner at , enjoying Nepalese momos and flavorful curries against a backdrop of mountain views.
From golden forests and ancient fossils to wonderful restaurants and small-town charm, Fernie packs an incredible amount into one little mountain town. ❤️
