Designed Around the View

This custom Bainbridge Island home was designed to make the most of its waterfront setting, with expansive windows and multiple outdoor living spaces that connect the home to the water beyond.

Layered stone terraces create a series of spaces for entertaining, relaxing around the fire, enjoying the spa, or simply taking in the view. Inside, large expanses of glass bring the landscape and water into nearly every main living space.

Every detail was thoughtfully built around the way the homeowners wanted to experience the property — inside, outside, and always connected to the water.

Where light meets craftsmanship.

This hallway was designed to do more than connect rooms—it creates an experience. Warm cedar ceilings draw your eye through the home, while floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light and frame the surrounding forest. The rich black walls add contrast and depth, allowing every material to stand on its own.

We believe great design isn't about adding more. It's about carefully selecting the right details and letting quality craftsmanship speak for itself.

Every line, every finish, and every view was intentionally designed to create a home that feels timeless.

Some homes are designed to stand out. Others are designed to belong.

This outdoor living space was created to feel like a natural extension of the Bainbridge Island forest. Warm cedar ceilings, clean architectural lines, and expansive decking blur the boundary between indoors and out, while native Pacific Northwest plantings complement the existing landscape rather than compete with it.

Thoughtful design isn't just about the home—it's about how it lives within its surroundings.

At 9Point9 Construction, we believe the best luxury homes enhance the beauty that's already there.

Sometimes the most meaningful design elements come from the land itself.

The statement mantel in this custom primary bedroom wasn't purchased—it was milled from a tree that once stood on this very property. By reclaiming and repurposing the wood, we were able to preserve a piece of the home's history and give it a new life as the centerpiece of the fireplace.

Thoughtful building isn't just about creating beautiful spaces. It's about recognizing opportunities to reduce waste, honor the character of the site, and incorporate materials that can't be replicated. Every knot, grain pattern, and natural variation tells the story of where this home began.

We love finding ways to blend modern design with materials that have a history. It's details like these that make a custom home truly one of a kind.

Floor-to-ceiling windows, warm natural wood, and the quiet beauty of the Pacific Northwest—this primary suite was designed to feel like an extension of the forest beyond.

The continuous cedar ceiling draws your eye outdoors, while the clean lines and minimalist design let the view become the focal point. Every detail was chosen to create a space that feels calm, connected, and timeless.

It's a reminder that luxury isn't about excess—it's about thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and creating spaces you'll never want to leave. 🌲

Where modern architecture meets the Pacific Northwest.

Every detail of this custom home was thoughtfully designed to create a seamless connection between the home and the surrounding forest.

A stunning western red cedar ceiling begins at the covered front entry, flows through the great room, and continues uninterrupted onto the rear covered deck, drawing your eye straight to the peaceful forest beyond. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the home with natural light while framing the ever-changing landscape like living artwork.

At the heart of the home, a dramatic two-sided fireplace wrapped in Equitone fiber cement panels anchors both the living and dining spaces with clean, contemporary lines. Throughout the home, carefully selected materials add warmth and character—including custom Turkish sinks that bring handcrafted artistry to the bathrooms.

From the natural wood tones to the bold black exterior and expansive glass, every element was chosen to blur the line between indoors and out, creating a home that feels both sophisticated and deeply connected to its surroundings.

Built for the way our clients live. Designed to last for generations.
