Not all roofs need replacement. Some just need a little TLC and an inspection every year or so. Algae is a common killer of a perfectly good shingle roof. Don’t let a 20 dollar problem become a several thousand dollar problem.

People think choosing a shingle is just about color. And that all shingle brands are the same. But not Malarkey Roofing Products. Malarkey is the only company that all their shingle lines are made of SBS or rubberized asphalt. We use them because they’re way more durable when it comes to hail and wind. I’ve personally seen roofs we’ve installed in the past withstand baseball hail with no damage. Which is way bigger than what they’re rated for. At first glance you’re probably asking what the point of this photo is. If you have an attic take a peak up there with no light and see if you see daylight around the low perimeter and around your roof vent. If not you have a big problem

Well as nice as a new roof is. If you don’t have good intake “soffit” and exhaust ventilation “ridge vent” box vents etc. Your roof won’t last nearly as long as it should and you may be voiding your warranty. Almost 90% of homes are not ventilated correctly. Even new homes. So whether you’re dealing with a builder or your roofer. If they arent talking to you about ventilation. Don’t walk just run away from them and find a pro!gntd tb d ybeem
