🌡️ A Little A/C Tip for These Hot Florida Days…

We get a lot of service calls because an air conditioner “won’t get to temperature.”

One of the biggest misconceptions is that turning your thermostat from 74° down to 68° will make the air blow out colder.

It won’t.

Your A/C blows air at about the same temperature no matter what you set the thermostat to. Lowering the thermostat simply tells the system to run longer until it reaches that setting.

So if your home can’t get below 76° because it’s 98° outside, your A/C probably isn’t going to magically reach 68° just because you turned the thermostat down. It’ll just continue running, which can increase wear on your system and your electric bill.

If your system:
✅ Won’t maintain your normal temperature
✅ Runs all day without catching up
✅ Seems to be cooling less than it used to

…it’s time to have it checked. It could be something as simple as a dirty filter or coil, low refrigerant, restricted airflow, or another issue that’s keeping your system from performing at its best.
