Back in 2021 we had a commercial made with . I screen printed our shirts for the day and Nabil went to work with the camera. It was such a great commercial and I couldn’t wait to post it. Then there was a great resignation of people who didn’t want to come to work. I understood that feeling before. I then felt posting the video would be a lie. We no longer have a team as large as we did. ______

Previously before I started my own business I worked for Walmart and Target. I totally remember the times that I didn’t want to go to work. I took my position for granted and lost it due to poor decision making.
________

Fast forward to the present, our business is coming out of a slump. This last season our system was not as great as we planned. We learned a lot of hard lessons about business and people, but even more about our self worth. Tonight at midnight our 2021 commercial will finally be posted. Thank you for everyone who has been super supportive about our new business journey and the plan to better ourselves as a small business. One post at a time.

Things are finally coming in clearly. It’s been almost 2 years, but we have the ball rolling. Our new/old video will be up today at noon.

________

In all honesty, I’ve been in my head about posting my videos. We‘ve had this video made for so long, and due to my own insecurities I never made it public to view. It definitely has been a lot of work that I didn’t understand before.
_________

Here are some things we learned about ourselves through this experience:

+Mistakes happen: There are some mistakes we made and maybe you can catch them on the video, but we can’t get caught up with the small mess-ups. Learn from them and prepare to do better on the next one.

+Trust the process: Many content creators have similar processes to making their content/projects. For some people, their way is fast, direct, raw, and uncut. I’m learning from trial and error, which usually takes some time.

+Mental health over content/social media any day - my role as a Dad and husband is more important to ME. Anything on these apps has ZERO value compared to my wife and kids. We can turn away from this small business anytime. My mental and physical health is more important to me than a social media post.
