Over the past few years, Hometown Construction has been incredibly blessed by this community.

As we've grown, we've made it a priority to give more back every single year by supporting our schools, youth athletics, local nonprofits, community events, and organizations that make Baldwin City such a special place to live.

Many people don't realize that much of that journey began with the Baldwin City Chamber of Commerce.

When we were a young business, the Chamber welcomed us, connected us with other business owners, introduced us to organizations doing incredible work in our community, and gave us opportunities to become involved. They didn't just help us grow our business. They gave us a place in this community.

The Chamber has never asked us to support Baldwin City. It simply made it impossible not to want to.

That is why I was disappointed to learn that the proposed City budget would significantly reduce funding for the Chamber.

This is about much more than one organization.

It's about whether we continue investing in the partnerships that have helped make Baldwin City one of the most vibrant small towns in Kansas. The festivals, markets, holiday events, business support, tourism, and countless community connections that so many of us enjoy don't simply happen on their own. They happen because people and organizations are willing to invest in making this town better.

As a business owner, I understand budgets. I also understand return on investment. Some investments don't just pay for themselves. They multiply. The Chamber has been one of those investments.

I also believe that success carries responsibility. As Hometown Construction has grown, our responsibility to this community has grown with it. We will continue investing in Baldwin City because we love this town and the people who call it home.

Whether you own a business, volunteer for a nonprofit, coach a youth team, attend community events, or simply enjoy living here, you've likely benefited from work the Chamber helped make possible.

If you believe the Chamber has made a positive impact on your business, your family, or our community, I encourage you to respectfully reach out to the Mayor and City Council. Share your own story. Tell them why you believe this partnership matters.

Communities like Baldwin City are not inherited.

They are built.

Let's keep building.

Welcome, Brian Burris, to the Hometown Construction Team

At Hometown Construction, we don't just look for experience.

We look for character, integrity, and people who genuinely care about serving others.

Over the past 90 days, Brian Burris has completed an extensive training and apprenticeship program with us, learning everything from roofing, siding, windows, and repairs to inspections, estimating, project management, and customer care. More importantly, he's consistently demonstrated the qualities that matter most to us: honesty, humility, initiative, professionalism, and a genuine desire to keep learning.

Brian has already earned the trust of our team and our customers by successfully managing projects, building strong relationships with homeowners, and embracing our philosophy of educating first and always doing what's right.

As Brian officially joins our team full-time as a Project Manager, he'll continue helping homeowners through evaluations, estimating, project management, and customer support while continuing to grow alongside our company.

Please join us in welcoming Brian to the Hometown Construction family! We're excited about what the future holds. Not just for our company, but for the customers and community we'll continue serving together.
