Diesel Mechanic
Salary: $25 - $32/hour Depending on Experience

• Set Daytime Schedule Monday – Friday, Overtime is Available if Wanted
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Perform minor and major repairs on trucks, trailers and various large and small equipment
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tire rotation and oil changes
• To keep vehicle and equipment manuals and technical bulletins organized for future repeated access
• Maintain accurate supply and records of assigned inventories. Anticipate and ensure appropriate personnel are notified when replenishment is needed
• Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks
• Respond to roadside service calls from company vehicles
• Report parts and supply needs to Shop Supervisor
• Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on fleet
• Fosters a spirit of cooperation among co-workers and different divisions, especially in times when conflicting vehicle repair order priorities many exist among vehicle users
• Works with all personnel operating vehicles and equipment to ensure items are being operated correctly to limit abnormal wear and tear. Trains field personnel of operation of any vehicle or equipment as needed
• Maintain a high level of good housekeeping and care of company assets in the vehicles, shop and any other area work is performed. Ensures proper security of tools and equipment in shop
• Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications & Key Selection Criteria:
• 5 + years Diesel Mechanic Experience
• Excellent reading and writing skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Fluency in English; Spanish a plus
