As a lawn care professional, I firmly believe in the importance of collaboration and supporting one another. However, the increasing costs of licenses and insurance have significantly impacted our expenses. Our primary goal as lawn care professionals is to ensure customer satisfaction. Nevertheless, with the rising minimum chargeable rates, coupled with the increasing costs of living in our country, we face substantial challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly affected many individuals, who may benefit from supplementary income sources, such as lawn care services. I would like to emphasize that, as lawn care professionals, we must adhere to New York State regulations. Therefore, I urge residents to be aware of the potential risks associated with hiring unlicensed and uninsured providers, which may result in unforeseen expenses. Furthermore, I encourage all lawn care companies and entrepreneurs seeking to establish a supplementary income stream to obtain the necessary licenses and insurance. On behalf of all licensed lawn care professionals, I hope that you will also prioritize compliance with these regulations. The adage 'you get what you pay for' is particularly relevant in this context, as the initial cost savings of hiring an unlicensed provider may ultimately prove more expensive.
