Jessecology Eco-Landscaping Sustainable eco-landscaping company w. an attached native plant nursery/wildflower farm. Habitat restoration + eco-type seed. Beauty will save the world.

We empower homeowners + public land managers to do environmental conservation right where they are. CURRENTLY BOOKING SUMMER 2022 PROJECTS. Visit jessecology.com/consultation and fill out our customer intake form to get on the site evaluation/consultation waitlist. Jessecology is a sustainable landscape studio with an inhouse native plant nursery/wildflower farm and native seed vault, est. 2005 an

d headquartered in Ballston Spa, NY. Our peak season service area is limited to Saratoga, Albany and Schenectady counties; in the offseason we do projects in warmer climates. (Coastal South Carolina, we love you!!!)
Our company's core principles are a deep love of beauty, ethical land stewardship, ecology education and plant literacy. We believe that civilians adopting responsible landscaping and land management principles in suburban and urban areas lays the bedrock for a beautiful future full of possibility and habitat regeneration. When homeowners, business decision makers, municipality managers, campus administrators and park officials partner with Jessecology, we empower them to invest in a better physical future for their neighborhood and community. Our region's indigenous plants, trees, shrubs and grasses are epic in volume, many of them visually stunning. Sourcing native plants can be challenging; and so we created Saratoga County's first exclusive wildflower farm in 2014. Every year we grow and sell thousands of native species perennials, trees, shrubs and grasses, mostly to our landscaping clients. We can be found occasionally at area festivals and pop-up markets, selling our plants, flower crowns, bouquets, garden art and "Mystery Butterfly Garden Starter Kits." Our project portfolio includes hundreds of projects in the Saratoga-Albany-Niskayuna region. Butterfly Gardens and Rain Gardens are our specialty, though Pinebush (dry sand) and Woodland (shade) Gardens are beloved to us as well. As of late 2021, we have seeds for sale on our website or available at local boutique shops. In this age of excess connectivity, we find joy in a slower pace, real connections and being attached to the earth rather than the computer. Please forgive us that we may definitely not respond in a timely manner to social media DM's. Website inquiries, email, in person conversations, cups of coffee, old fashioned letters and postcards and phonecalls/text messages are much more quickly returned. Our 2026 planting projects began with a "splash." The team created a rain garden and some water loving native trees near the river in beautiful NY. Thanks to everybody who helped pull this beautiful day together!

Spring in New York keeps us guessing. Rainy stewardship mornings. Muddy boots in remediated soil. Tree planting days that are actually more like swimming. This is ecological landscaping in real life; nature keeps us guessing. Over time these spaces become cooler, softer, more alive. Pollinators feel right at home. Roots deepen. Native plants do what they were always meant to do here. Wishing everybody a beautiful spring season. ๐ŸŒฑ

Our stewardship team started pretty late this year. It has been great to enjoy all the pollinators' sleepy buzzing, and we saw the first butterfly of the year (Swallowtail) yesterday. In other years we've usually began spring cleanup earlier. Waiting this time felt awesome.
