Cole Creek Farm Vegetables Teen Owned & Operated Home Grown Vegetable Farm Stand

05/05/2026

Cole Creek Farm Vegetables is a Teen Owned & Operated Home Grown Farm Stand just west of St. Louis in Ballwin, MO. The owners are 19 & 17 and are responsible for planting, maintaining, and selling the vegetables. Our garden started as a way to grow our own vegetables during the summer and have some quality family time, especially with Great Grandpa. Our parents do not believe in giving us allowances for household chores and we are not allowed to have jobs during the school year. Each year we have invest some of their earnings back into their garden by upgrading something or planting something new to make the garden better. In the last 7 years we have added raspberries(‘19), blueberries(‘20), built a beautiful fence around the garden (‘20), built an awesome vegetable stand (‘20). added raised beds(‘21), made our own tomato cages (‘22), made pepper cages (‘23), added irrigation (‘24), covered the entire garden with w**d barrier fabric (‘25), and added a solar powered electric fence after loosing over a hundred tomatoes a day to squirrels (‘25).

It’s a big year for your local vegetable stand owners!

Morgan recently turned 18 and graduated high school as the valedictorian of her class! Throughout all four years of high school, she was an active member of the Marine Corps JROTC, serving as the Cadet Commanding Officer and as Captain and Commander of the JROTC Drill Team. She was also on the Varsity Dance Team for four years and has been a competitive dancer for the past 12 years. For the last three years, Morgan has shared her passion by teaching dance to young children.

This August, she’ll begin the next chapter of her journey at South Dakota State University, where she will be double majoring in Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and Geography, with a minor in Intelligence. Her goal is to work with the Department of Defense as a civilian contractor, supporting our Armed Services.

Reid, now 16, was recently accepted into a Vocational Technical School for Automotive Collision Technology. He’s an active member of his school's Tribe and truly shines on the farm. Whether he's on a tractor, working in the garage, or helping his Great Grandfather and Great Aunt with chores. Reid is happiest with his hands in the dirt. On a nice day, you might even find him fishing at the pond.

Morgan and Reid have always loved gardening and sharing beautiful, homegrown organic vegetables with the community. But this year, they’re gaining a deeper understanding of the financial side of their work—Morgan is paying for college, and Reid has his sights set on buying a truck and saving college.

Thank you for supporting them over the past seven years and they hope you continue to support them in years to come! Your continued support means the world to them and helps fuel their bright futures.

We knew this was coming, for the 1st time the tomato 🍅 plants are producing more than the stand can handle! Could be the fact that the kids planted more plants than ever before! If anyone would like any they sell them for $1 each, smaller ones are 2/$1 and a small bag of cherry tomatoes for $1.50

Although we’ve been quite on social media we have been hard at work behind the scenes in the garden.

We got the garden planted just in time for the hail storm to come through and destroy half of the plants. We replanted what needed to be and things are coming back strong!

This year the kids decided to plant even more plants then before! They planted 85 tomatoes🍅, 40 🫑 , 50 cucumbers🥒6 squash and 12 zucchini.

Stop by and check out the stand we are starting to stock it!

Well school started Monday and Competition Dance season started also. Not to mention this minor heat wave we have going on! So tonight was the first time since Sunday we made it into the garden! We tried picking some of the tomatoes a little orange so the plants did not have to support them anymore.

We have been lacking on posting updates on the garden this year because it has been a busy one!

We are ever so grateful for the tremendous undertaking of friends and family so that we were able to sneak in a 2 week vacation of memories to Montana!

With Morgan going to Missouri Scholars Academy at Mizzou for 3 weeks in June, Our vacation to Montana, Then Reid going to Band Camp for 2 weeks the upgrades we made this year were a must. This year the kids (with our persuasion) decided to invest in a drip irrigation system with an automatic zone watering system. They also put landscape fabric through most of the garden to cut down on tolling time.

We are trying a new system for supporting the plants so we were able to triple the number of plants we normally plant.

This year we have:
75 tomatoes 🍅
50 cucumbers 🥒
20 Green Peppers 🫑
10 Red Peppers
10 Gypsy Sweet Peppers 🌶️
5 Jalapeños
25 feet of bush beans
4 Butternut Squash
3 Acorn Squash (with a bonus pumpkin plant!)
3 Yellow Squash
5 Zucchini
Along with our Strawberries, Blackberries, Raspberries and Blueberries

The stand has officially been open for a week now. Stop by and get your fresh veggies!

Been lacking on posting any pictures of the hard work that we have put into the kids garden this spring so far.

Being short handed
-Morgan off at MO Scholars Academy for three weeks at Mizzou (1 of the top 300 kids across the state of Missouri to be selected)
-Reid having High School Marching Band Camp for 2 weeks

And a busy summer planned we added a few major changes to cut down the time it takes up.
Hopefully it works the way we planned

W**d barrier material - to cut down tilling and w**ding time

A drip irrigation system to help with the drought we seem to be having

All vegetables planted in tighter rows to help with the above and allow more plants than they have ever planted in the past.

Here’s to what we are hoping is a great season!
🥒🍅🫑🌶️🍓🌱🫐

75- tomato plants
50- pepper plants
25- cucumber
15-squash and zucchini
A row of bush green beans
And a short row of radishes
