A Tornado Watch has been issued for parts of the area tonight until 4AM.

A line of storms is approaching from the west, and recent sounding data indicates that there is a modestly unstable sector of air out in front of that line of storms. It is expected that this will remain as a QLCS storm mode (line of storms), but it is possible scattered storms may pop out in front of that line as outflow boundaries begin interacting with the unstable air.

Primary possible hazards are strong wind gusts up to 70mph, large hail, and embedded tornadoes within the line of storms. (QLCS naders)

Stay safe !!!

Severe Thunderstorm Watch now posted for areas Along 70 and Especially South. As storms develop and progress E/SE they will be fueled by a greater area of high instability. As they supercharge, the risk for High Wind will increase and Large Hail is likely to develop as it progresses. Anyone especially Along 44 Points South and East really need to pay attention and be prepared for potential destructive hail anywhere from Half Dollar to Tennis Ball Size Hail where these particular cells fire. Elsewhere hail will be Small to as much as 1.25” in size.
