The kitchen was completely redesigned, gutted, and replaced. The old kitchen was closed in, dated, and in poor condition. The joists were sagging which caused the refrigerator to lean and spill condensate and rot away the flooring.
We replaced the damaged flooring and added additional support to repair the sagging joists.
We removed the ceilings (there were 3 layers of ceilings), replaced the electrical wiring, and installed recessed lights.
One of the walls had a bad curve so we reframed it to straighten it up. The gas line was sticking out of the floor and in the way so we installed a wall box and moved it into the wall for improved sanitation and appearance. We replaced the plumbing (even added an ice maker box) and added additional receptacles (on dedicated circuits) to ensure that you always have power when you need it.
When the ceiling and walls were completed, then we began installing new cabinets and appliances. We chose shaker cabinets with soft close doors, plywood construction and dovetail drawers, and paired them with beautiful quartz countertops.
Since one of the tenants is disabled, we ensured that the kitchen is accessible so that he can easily navigate the kitchen when coming and going.
