Meet the Crew: James, Equipment Operator
At Gradeline Construction we take pride in growing our own, and James is a perfect example. He first joined our crew in July 2017, stepped away in April 2025, and came back to Gradeline this March, bringing even more experience and drive with him.
Our superintendents say it best:
"Team player and always looking to learn new things as well as pass his knowledge onto others. Correct, level-headed attitude. Eager to see a job through. Punctual. Takes the lead."
And his foreman, who's been mentoring James, put it this way:
"I've watched James grow from a 19-year-old kid not knowing what he wanted in life to a young man that knows exactly what he wants, and how to achieve it. He does his best every day, and even when mistakes are made, he owns them, but also learns from them. I've been mentoring James for a while, and you can see the change in him. He handles himself with confidence and strength, so there will be no mistake of who he is and what he wants. So as he's climbing the hill upward, I'm on the downward side so that one day I'll be proud to pass the torch to him, my friend and my brother."
That's the kind of loyalty and growth we're proud to have on our team. James, we're glad you're here!
