We Can Fix That

We Can Fix That From doors that don't latch, 'wiggly' light switches and outlets to basement, or kitchen renovations

* Fix wobbly or 'sometimes' working outlets and switches
* Properly grounding outlets and switches
* installing ceiling fans and other light fixtures
* Repairing indoor and outdoor lighting
* Installing shutters
* re-screening porches
* repairing broken or warped decking
* Getting large sliding glass doors to properly open and close
* replacing broken ceiling tiles

* Getting window shades to stop scrapping the sides of the walls, or shorten them to fit the window height.
* Diagnosing and resolving window water leak problems.
* Diagnosing and repairing faucets that have little water pressure on the hot side, but the cold is fine.
* Replacing/upgrading faucets, sinks, toilets, and other indoor water appliances.
* Fixing door locks that you have to turn 'just so' to get them to unlock.
* Getting doors to latch properly.
* Getting (either room entry or kitchen cabinet) doors to stop sticking.
* Fixing light switches that still 'switch', but nothing happens.
* Repair holes or cracks in the wall.
* Painting
* Building a replacement screen insert for an old storm door where the solid glass frame insert was fine, but the prior owners had lost (or broken) the screen section and the door is too small to buy a replacement door from any hardware supplier.
* Replacing an exterior door with a modern-day steel door, only the existing entry way was smaller than todays' standards; I cut down the steel door and frame to fit the existing opening in such a way that you could never tell it was cut down. Renovations

* Ripping out old cabinets, re-flooring with tile, re-dry walling the walls and ceiling, installing new cabinets; adding new circuits and exposing and finishing old brickwork to be a warm addition to a room.
* Converting a dusky, cold, damp basement into an apartment with full bath and stand-up shower.
* Framing, dry-walling and installing a drop ceiling to make for a warm, childrens' playroom.

Scott described it as 'When there's a good nor'easter, and the rain is coming at the house THIS way, it usually leaks'. So we opened up the siding to get it figured out. It's important to know the 'proper' way to resolve this is rip off all the siding and re-do the roof - a very expensive thing. We're taking a more cost effective approach to solving a knarly problem.
