Take a look at this photo. That’s no ant hill! It’s actually the work of moles. Moles are busy right now turning many yards into an all you can eat buffet. This means some yards are getting destroyed. So how does one cope with this pest? One way to get rid of moles is to go after their food source, the grub worm. Sometimes this can take more than one treatment, but when the moles realize there is no more food in your lawn, they’ll simply move on.

Throwback Thursday!!! Back in October 1957, they demonstrated the "Power Mower of the Future"- the future of lawn mowing equipment with a beautiful bubbled model and get this it had it's own air conditioning system!! The lawn mower had a 5 ft plastic sphere where the rider sits on an air cushioned seat. It had an electric generator system for radio, telephone, drink cooler.

We talk about the importance of sharpening your mower blades and here’s a pretty good photo of why that is. You can see that these blades of grass have been pulled and ripped instead of clean cut. Imagine using a dull razor to shave. Ouch! Dull mower blades can leave your grass looking brown and ragged. So make sure you take the time and sharpen those blades to keep your grass looking healthy. It may be a good idea to have an extra set of mower blades so you can swap them out when you need to sharpen your other pair. It’s a pretty easy task and can be done with a file, angle grinder, or table grinder. If you guys have any questions about sharpening mower blades, let us know! We’re happy to help
