๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’š Agnes Update! ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฟ

Remember that giant aloe donation from yesterday?

Well, Iโ€™m happy to report that one of the biggest pieces, weighing in at about 8 pounds, has already found a new home and received a beautiful new pot! ๐ŸŒตโœจ

But hereโ€™s the best partโ€ฆ

The donor shared that this aloeโ€™s name is Agnes, and Iโ€™m happy to say that Agnesโ€™s new plant parent has decided to keep her name. ๐Ÿ’š

Seeing these plants continue their journey is one of my favorite parts of running the plant library. A plant that was lovingly cared for, shared with the community, and then welcomed into a new home where even her name lives on.

To the wonderful donor: thank you again for your incredible generosity. Your aloe donation has already brought a lot of smiles, and Agnes is happily settling into her next chapter.

From your home, to the plant library, and now to a new plant parent, Agnesโ€™s story continues. ๐ŸŒฟ

Happy planting, yโ€™all! ๐ŸŒต๐Ÿ’š

๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’š Donation Spotlight! ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฟ

Today I was lucky enough to be at the plant library when a visitor dropped off one of the most impressive donations Iโ€™ve seen in quite a while!

Not only did she donate a massive aloe, she donated multiple aloes. When I say massive, I mean MASSIVE. The kind of plant that makes every plant lover stop and stare. ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒต

What makes this donation even more special is the story behind it. The donor shared that her sister gave her this aloe plant about five years ago. At the time, she thought it was nearly dead, but over the past five years she lovingly nursed it back to health, even feeding it fish tank water. Thanks to her care and patience, it absolutely exploded with life and produced multiple aloe plants that she is now sharing with the community.

Some of these beauties will be staying at the home library, and some will likely make their way down to the downtown plant library at 43 Columbia Street so more people can enjoy them.

A huge thank you to the wonderful donor. If you see this post, Iโ€™d love for you to tag yourself so everyone can help give you the recognition you deserve. Your generosity is helping keep both plant libraries stocked and thriving.

Moments like this remind me how amazing this community is. Thank you for helping me spread a little more green and a little more kindness throughout Bangor. ๐Ÿ’š

Happy planting, yโ€™all! ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒต
