We’ve got some frightfully cute new residents in their spooky little pots, and they’re just DYING to find their forever homes! 🪴🎃

No tricks here, just treats! And speaking of treats, we have goodies for your four-legged little monsters, too! 🐶🐾

🌿💚 Brouse House Gardens Plant Library Update — October 29, 2026! 🪴

Good morning, plant friends! We’ve had some more visitors and several new donations to our Free Plant Library here in Reidsville, NC! 🥹💚

I absolutely love seeing our little community coming together and sharing their plant goodies!

🌱 Here’s what’s waiting for new homes:

🌼 Wildflower seed mix — donated!
🪴 Hen and chicks succulent — donated!
🌿 Snake plant — donated!
🎋 Lucky bamboo — donated!
🌸 Rooted Thanksgiving cactus cuttings — donated!
🍃 Two ferns — purchased from The Big Greenhouse specifically to share with our plant-loving community!

A little note about the lucky bamboo: Please keep this beauty potted and indoors! Despite its name, lucky bamboo isn’t actually bamboo, and it isn’t meant to be planted outside in our North Carolina climate. 💚

🐾 And don’t forget about our four-legged visitors! We still have dog treats available, so if your pup is tagging along, there’s a little something for them too! 🐶💚

A HUGE thank-you to everyone who has stopped by, donated, or helped spread the word! Watching this little library grow in our new community has been such a wonderful experience.

We’ve had more visitors at our little Free Plant Library here in Reidsville, NC, and even more messages in our guest book! 🥹💚

A special THANK YOU to Jennifer and Catherine for taking the time to leave such sweet messages! It genuinely makes my day reading them and seeing our little plant-loving community starting to grow. 🌱

🌿💚 Sunday, October 25, 2026 — Plant Library Update! 🪴

Oh, plant friends… my heart is so full this morning! 🥹💚

I checked on the Brouse House Gardens Free Plant Library here in Reidsville, NC, and we had some visitors AND donations yesterday! You have no idea how much this warms my heart and excites me!

🌱 Someone dropped off a plant from Lowe’s!
🌸 We received some Thanksgiving cactus cuttings!
📖 And perhaps my favorite part… we had our FIRST entry in the guest book here in North Carolina! 🥹💚

I know these might seem like little things, but to me, they’re HUGE!

When I moved from Maine and decided to start another Free Plant Library here in Reidsville, I had no idea how our new community would respond. Seeing people already stopping by, sharing plants, and leaving messages reminds me exactly why I started this little adventure in the first place.

It’s never been just about the plants. It’s about the people, the kindness, and the connections we grow along the way. 🌿💚

To everyone who has visited, donated, shared a post, or simply shown interest in our little library, THANK YOU! 🙏🏼

We had another visitor at the Plant Library here in Reidsville, NC, and someone took home a beautiful little pansy! 🌸🎉

I absolutely love checking on the library and seeing that another plant has found its way to a new home! 🥹💚

🌿🐾 Brouse House Gardens Free Plant Library Update! 💚

Well, I went out to check on the Plant Library this morning to see if we’ve had any more visitors, and we sure have! 🎉🌱

Someone gave the little fig plant from The Big Greenhouse a new home! 🪴💚 I absolutely love seeing plants disappear from the library because that means they’re finding their way into someone’s home and hopefully bringing a little joy!

There was one plant left, but I think the poor thing has had a little too much of these fluctuating temperatures. 🥶🥵 Between the warm days and chilly nights, it’s looking a little rough! So I’m bringing it inside for some plant rehab. 😂🌿 Once it’s looking happy and healthy again, it’ll head right back out to the library!

But don’t worry, I didn’t leave the library empty-handed!

That’s right! If your four-legged gardening assistant happens to tag along when you visit, there’s now a little something for them too! Because our furry plant-loving friends deserve a treat every now and then. 🥹🐕

🌿💚 Our First Plant Library Visitor! 🪴

I went out this morning to check on the new Brouse House Gardens Free Plant Library here in Reidsville to see if anyone had stopped by since I added our first three plants over the weekend.

And guess what?! We’ve had our first visitor! 🥹💚

Someone left behind the most adorable little miniature plant shelf, complete with tiny plants and gardening accessories! 😍🪴 Since it’s the very first donation to our new North Carolina library, I’m keeping it as a special little keepsake. To whoever left it, THANK YOU! I absolutely love it! 💚

I’ve also had quite a few questions lately about how the Plant Library works, especially:

“If I take something, do I have to leave something?”

ABSOLUTELY NOT! 🌱

Our motto is simple: Take what you need. Leave what you can.

Maybe you’re new to plants and want to try growing something without spending money. Maybe you love plants but don’t have the extra money to buy them. Or maybe you have more plants, cuttings, and seeds than you know what to do with! 😂

This library is for EVERYONE! 💚

There are no purchases, trades, or donations required. Just neighbors sharing what they can, when they can.

But more than anything, this is about building community. Connecting with neighbors, making new friends, sharing knowledge, and spreading a little kindness through our love of plants.

Because at the end of the day, it’s never been just about the plants. It’s about the people and the connections we grow along the way. 🥹🌿

🐾🌿 A Little Something for Our Four-Legged Plant Lovers? 🪴🐶

So I’m doing a little shopping at The Natural Dog in Burlington, NC, and naturally, my mind wandered right back to the Plant Library. 😂💚

I was checking out some adorable Tail Bangers dog cookies, and it got me thinking…

Should I start adding a few treats to the Brouse House Gardens Free Plant Library for our plant parents who are ALSO pet parents?! 🐕🌱

Because let’s be real… our furry little gardening assistants deserve a treat too! Especially after all their hard work supervising us while we water plants, repot things, and bring home yet another plant we absolutely didn’t need. 😂🪴

I mean, why should the humans get all the goodies?!

🌿🎉 THIS IS IT, Y’ALL! SHE’S OFFICIALLY UP! 🎉🌿

After weeks of moving, unpacking, getting settled, and finding new homes for all my plants… the Brouse House Gardens Free Plant Library is officially up at our new home in REIDSVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA! 🏡💚🪴

And guess what?! She already has her first THREE plant donations ready to share! 🌱🙌🏼

Now, is she completely finished? Nope! 😂 I still need to add the lettering and signage so people actually know what this little plant-filled box is all about. But you know what? She’s standing, she’s stocked, and that’s good enough to get started!

Sometimes you just have to put something out into the world and let it grow from there. 🌱

It’s a little bittersweet starting over in a new state, knowing the original library is still sharing plant love back in Bangor, Maine. But it’s also incredibly exciting to think about the new people we’ll meet, the plants we’ll exchange, and the community we’ll build right here in Reidsville.

What started as one little Free Plant Library in Maine has now grown roots in TWO STATES! 🥹💚

So hello, Reidsville! 👋🌿 We’re here, we’re growing, and we can’t wait to share with you!

🌿🪴 Brouse House Gardens Update — We’re Getting There! 💚

Slowly but surely, my new sunporch plant room is coming together here in Reidsville, North Carolina! 🏡🌱

I managed to get another plant stand assembled, which means I’ve finally been able to spread my plants out a little more instead of having them all crammed together wondering what happened to their lives. 😂🪴

It’s starting to look a little more like the plant-filled space I’ve been envisioning, and I can’t wait to share how it all comes together!

Now, about that NEW Free Plant Library… 👀🌿

The original plan was to have her out this past weekend, but life had other ideas! Some unexpected things happened at work, and I ended up working the entire weekend I was supposed to have off. 😅

But we’re getting closer!

🤞 I’m hoping to have the library out THIS weekend or NEXT weekend!

And the good news? I’ve already got some plants propagating and a few goodies ready to share! 🌱💚

I know things have been a little slower getting started than I originally anticipated, but between moving, settling into our new home, working, and getting the plants situated, it’s definitely been a process!

The Plant Library WILL be back, sooner rather than later! 🙌🏼

I’m so excited to bring a little plant-sharing magic to our new community here in Reidsville, and I hope you’ll all continue following along as this next chapter of Brouse House Gardens takes shape.
