We recently completed an impressive multi-project endeavor that resulted in the creation which featured the installation of a beautifully crafted AZEK PVC Castle Gate Dock. This dock showcases an elegant picture frame design paired with a hidden fastener system, ensuring a sleek and polished appearance. Complementing the dock, we utilized Timbertech Composite Railing, accented by Color Guard Patriot metal posts, which provide both strength and sophistication. To enhance the dock's appeal, a gazebo will be installed at the entrance, creating an eye-catching focal point that elevates the overall aesthetic.

In our pursuit of excellence, we employed an innovative technique for the fascia, utilizing custom-cut deck boards designed to fit the unique angles of the structure. This approach allowed us to seamlessly conceal seams, preventing any deflection over time while accommodating the natural expansion and contraction of the material.

To enhance the property’s entrance, we installed a stunning 456-foot Barrett 3-rail vinyl white fence, which not only adds aesthetic appeal but also effectively addresses the challenges of land slope and dips. Following the fence installation, we carefully spread grass seed to rejuvenate any bare spots left by our equipment, ensuring a lush and inviting landscape.

This project exemplifies our dedication to quality craftsmanship and innovative solutions, resulting in a beautiful and functional outdoor space that our clients can enjoy for years to come.

Constructing a fully composite deck for the first time was an impressive experience. This project was a collaborative effort, and I extend my gratitude to my representative from my supplier and the engineer from Corning Owens, who provided invaluable insight into the structural aspects and integrity of their product. The clients selected Trex Saddle for the composite surface, complemented by a picture frame design and a hidden deck fastener system. Additionally, I had the opportunity to learn and successfully apply the skill of scribing around the rock wall. Given the layout constraints of the house, I had to pour a concrete landing approximately one foot away, which was finished with a brushed texture.

We put in another post to prevent the deck from sagging anymore and leveled it back out. We also replaced a couple pieces of lattice as well.

We embarked on building a composite deck, but it quickly turned into a full-scale repair project. We discovered that the doors on the addition had been installed without proper sealing, leading to extensive damage: a rotted band board, subfloor, wet insulation, and floor joists. We repaired all these issues and ensured the door was correctly sealed with a door cap and metal trim at the bottom for extra protection.

During the teardown, we also found improperly installed light boxes and an outdoor outlet that was neither a GFCI nor connected to one. We replaced these with proper installations. We sealed our composite substructure for the deck promptly.

On the exterior kitchen wall, we found severe rot from the sill plate extending 3 inches upwards, leaving it free-standing from the ceiling. We replaced the sill plate, sistered the wall studs, replaced the jack studs for the door, added new insulation, and rebuilt the wall with 3/4” OSB before reinstalling the vinyl siding.

This has been a lengthy project, but the outcome made it all worthwhile! I'm thrilled with the final results of all three components. We worked diligently to bring the customer's vision to life, capturing the essence of 'country' and 'relaxing' for their retirement home. The house now boasts a charming front porch, a spacious back deck, and a 3-board black welded wire fence. This comprehensive project not only showcases my creativity and dedication but also highlights our commitment to client satisfaction. The positive feedback from the client has been incredibly rewarding. I'm excited to take on future projects and continue growing my business.

Concrete railing was installed by using metal post pounded 4’ in the ground and then vinyl post installed over top creating the lifetime satisfaction of not having to worry about rot!

I also used my go to support system ( handi piers ) which create a confident sturdy base for the deck and roof without the use of disturbing the ground and mixing concrete!
