He spent several years of his youth working at the local greenhouse in Barnesville, MN where he learned a lot, and
was mentored by great owners. Landscaping was put on hold for several years to attend MSUM and start a career as a Police Officer at the Fargo Police Department, but Brent's passion for landscaping remained strong. Looking for a way to add beauty and value to friend's and neighbor's yards, Brent offered his first landscape service in 2017, concrete curb edging, with his brother and brother-in-law right by his side. Since 2017, Brent has re-invested in Flatland Landscape Company to organically grow and expand the many quality landscape services he is able to offer home and business owners today. In March of 2022 Brent "retired" as a Sergeant of the Fargo Police Department after serving nearly 11 years and began landscaping full time.
